RoHS Compliance Screening with Handheld and Field-Mobile XRF
Worldwide Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) regulations continue to impact the manufacturers of electrical and electronic goods and their supply chains...as do the new halogen-free initiatives. By restricting the use of five commonly found substances, the burden of "due diligence" is placed firmly with the brand owners, assembly houses, and PCB manufacturers.

Depending on which Thermo Scientific Niton analyzer model you choose, there are several available featrures that further increase its flexibility:
- Motorized X-Y positioning for targeting features down to 1 mm in size
- Integrated CCD camera– visually locate, identify, specify, and store the image of the sample together with analytical results
- Spot size as small as 1 mm– touch an icon on the analyzer's display to reduce the measured area, zooming in on component leads or measuring discrete areas on PCBs
