Component Screening with Handheld XRF
The
analysis of components entering the
manufacturing process is necessary at
every stage, from incoming materials to
installed components in finished
products. By implementing a screening
program with handheld Thermo Scientific
NITON® 700 Series XRF analyzers, OEMs, CMs, and others involved in manufacturing
can screen more easily for non-compliant
materials, especially when components
may contain materials with exemptions
such as lead (Pb) in ceramic capacitor casings.
Easy screening for:
- Components in bulk to verify compliance before
they enter the manufacturing process
- Components at any part of the manufacturing
process on the assembly line, on the warehouse
floor, and anywhere in the world
- Individual small components in a finished
product. The available small-spot measurement system
allows users to better isolate and analyze
individual small components such as leads or
terminals on populated PCBs
- Components of all shapes, sizes, and matrices
